Day 9 Getting to Stranda

That was probably the tour's best riding day to date. There were tunnels, mountain passes, stretching windy roads, perfect surfaces to ride alongside endless fjords and the scenery was spectacular.

Most of the morning we rode in light drizzle, but somehow never felt we were getting wet. It was therapeutic, albeit a little cold so we had to stop to tog up in warm clothing - worthy of note, by the end of the day these had to be taken off as the temperature went from 14 to 23 degrees by the time we landed in Stranda.
Another couple of photos of yet another ferry - they're becoming the norm and are so well organised we didn't even have to stop to get on the ship as we arrived in perfect time - we just road down lane 3 to the front and got straight on. At least this ferry had coffee facilities, even thought the ferry was only about 20 minutes it was nice to relax a little.
Ahah, our 1st Troll. We eventually found a tourists's café obviously catering for the crowds of cruise-goers that visit the fjords and get busses. Had a lovely lunch and onwards to next stop. It has to be said that Norway does not really have coffee shops or cafés other than petrol stations or resteraunts on the side of the road. It doesn't seem to cater for hungry bikers - maybe it's just too expensive to run and people can't make the money? Whichever way, it's pretty inconvenient and something that we are trying to work around and plan.
Viewpoint spectacular - we could have stopped at many places to take pictures, but if we stopped at every nice viewing point we'd never make our destination!!!
Airbnb here we come - landed in Stranda, quick beer (only £12 per pint here),  some shopping for tea and then back to the house to settle in. The views from the house are just terrific - right over the Fjord, elevated so we can see any passing cruise liners. The house is a bit tiered, but spacious, clan and will certainly do for our next 3 nights.
