Day 2 Getting to Bremen
A very good night on the boat and a refreshing snooze. Up when the ding-dong bells went at 7:00 and down for a coffee. Obvs Mrs C has to do her usual parking of the ship at Europoort....Clear blue skies ahead but not swelteringly hot, so it should make for a very pleasant ride.
Getting through passport control in the morning was a little longer than normal, however no hassle really. Stood around queuing albeit moving 1 bike at a time for an hour, but as we'd planned and expected the delay it wasn't an issue.Arrived safely in Bremen - must remember to do more stops as we have only stopped a couple of times today so a bit tired getting here - the riding was so nice though
Gone posh tonight in Bremen. Couple of beers before heading out to eat. Hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. Fantastic value for money irrespective that it is very posh and the rooms really nice. Not only that, the beer was not too expensive either - same as the UK but going on from here we're expecting many bleeding noses at prices. The one thing that is expensive is fuel - OMG €2.25 per litre, now that's taking the Micky!!!!
Arriving at any destination for the night requires a beer before going to the room and today is no exception - well you can't stop tradition it would be rude.
Ready for an Uber into town as we'd opted to find a Sushi Bar - very nice too actually. Just off the main square near central station and whilst looking a bit scruffy from the outside, inside was lovely and the Sushi was very good. Plenty of people in this place, so that's always a good sign.
